“I believe counseling can be a profound experience that can lead to change and relief in your life. I also believe this change is fostered not only by a competent counselor, but also one you feel comfortable with. I understand going to see a counselor can be scary, so I will do my best to make the counseling experience one that will allow you to feel comfortable and safe to express your concerns in a private, confidential place.
My goal for treatment is to provide you a professional environment that cultivates trust, respect, comfortability, and confidentiality without any judgment. It can sometimes be difficult to build trust, but the process itself can lead to drastic changes in your life; therefore, I will strive for you to develop a healthy confidence in the therapeutic relationship and yourself.
Furthermore, I will work with you to identify your strengths and utilize them to promote a healthy lifestyle by changing unhealthy patterns. In addition, my goal is to help you gain new personal insights and ultimately improve your quality of life.
I believe that any practitioner has the obligation to provide you with the best research based treatment. I am a lifelong learner and will always strive to make sure I know the best ways to help you. My clinical approach will be specifically tailored to your unique needs. I am eclectic in my approach, but I always utilize empirically validated treatments within, but not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapies, motivational interviewing, and client centered therapy.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, cooking, watching movies, listening to music, reading, being outdoors, and watching baseball and football.
I am always greatly honored to work with all of my clients and do not take that privilege for granted.”
