DBT-light group

Are you unhappy in your relationships? Do you find that you are often in conflict with friends, family, or your partner? Do you feel isolated and find it difficult to make and keep healthy relationships? Do you feel like your emotions are often out of control? Do you often feel stressed, easily frustrated, or overwhelmed? If so, DBT-light just might be for you!

In this  adult group you will learn:

  1. How to better tolerate distressing emotions (Distress tolerance).
  2. How to better live in the moment and instead of worrying about things that may, or may not happen in the future. (Mindfulness techniques).
  3. How to better understand, express, and control your emotions (Emotional regulation).
  4. Interpersonal skills to help improve your relationship with others (Interpersonal effectiveness).

TLC group

Are you tired of feeling depressed? Do you find yourself isolating from others? Are you finding yourself having low energy and being tired all the time? Are you have having trouble sleeping, or wanting to sleeping too much? Are you starting not to enjoy the things that you use to enjoy? Are you finding yourself feeling increasingly irritable or agitated? Is it harder for you to stay focused on tasks at home and work? Have you tried medication and yet still feel depressed? Are you tired of the side effects of medication and are looking for another way to beat depression? Or, do you feel relatively okay, but would like to make some lifestyle changes that would improve your health and emotional well-being? If so, this group might be right for you!

In this group (Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes -TLC) you will learn how to systematically implement 7 lifestyle changes that are research-proven to be more effective than any antidepressant or psychotherapeutic approach on the market today to overcome or prevent depression.

In this adult group you will learn how to make significant lifestyle changes in the following areas:

  1. Diet
  2. Rumination
  3. Exercise
  4. Sunlight exposure
  5. Increasing social support
  6. Sleep
  7. Gratitude

As part of this program, you will meet privately with a personal trainer to help you implement an individualized exercise program just for you. And also, you will meet with a dietitian to help you make some minor improvements to your diet that will improve your mood.
