Do you ever feel overlooked in the noise of everyday life, like you are moving through the day unseen or unheard? If you are reaching out for support, you deserve a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected from the very first conversation.

At Waterford Counseling and Psychological Services, that is what we aim to offer from day one. We provide therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, EMDR therapy, child therapy, teen therapy, couples therapy, LGBTQ therapy, therapy for women, and therapy for men. No matter what brings you in, our therapists take the time to listen, understand what you are carrying, and help you move toward steadier ground.

We also offer a specialized trauma track for clients who want more intensive support, with at least two sessions per week. You’ll work with a primary therapist using EMDR therapy, Brainspotting, or Trauma-Focused CBT, paired with supportive options like trauma-sensitive yoga, mindfulness skills training, or Alpha/Theta neurofeedback. With a dedicated 1,300 sq ft space designed for yoga, play therapy, and child and teen engagement, we’re able to provide a level of integrated care that’s hard to find elsewhere locally.

About Us

Hello and welcome to Waterford Counseling and Psychological Services located in Aurora, Oswego, and Crest Hill Illinois. We are glad you found us and look forward to providing you the counseling services that you seek.

We are a group of psychologists, social workers and counselors who are dedicated to providing you with “the right help at the right time at the right location”. We provide a wide range of counseling and psychological services to individuals, couples, and families in Aurora, Oswego and the surrounding areas. Activity Center

At Waterford, our Activity Center gives kids and teens a comfortable, low pressure way to connect with their therapist through simple, fun options like games, movement, or just relaxing together. These activities are intentional and help build trust, spark conversation, and increase engagement so therapy feels safer, easier, and more effective.
