Keisha Green, LSW
Keisha Green, LSW, is a Licensed Social Worker and Doctor of Social Work student at the University of Kentucky. She is passionate about helping children, adolescents, and families navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, connection, and hope.
Throughout her career, Keisha has viewed her role as one of building bridges—between children and their caregivers, families and community resources, moments of crisis and renewed hope, and today’s challenges and tomorrow’s possibilities. She believes healing begins when children feel truly seen, families feel supported, and no one feels they must face difficult seasons alone.
Keisha has extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families experiencing behavioral health crises. She has collaborated closely with hospitals, schools, child welfare agencies, psychiatrists, and community providers to help ensure young people receive timely, coordinated, and compassionate care. These experiences have strengthened her understanding of trauma, resilience, and the importance of creating safe, trusting therapeutic relationships.
At Waterford Counseling and Psychological Services, Keisha works with children and adolescents to build emotional resilience, develop healthy coping skills, strengthen family relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. Her therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered. She recognizes that every child has unique strengths and that every family has the capacity for growth, healing, and positive change.
As she continues her doctoral education, Keisha remains committed to lifelong learning and providing compassionate, evidence-informed care that meets each child and family exactly where they are.
“My role is to help build bridges—bridges between where children are and where they hope to be, between families and the support they deserve, and between today’s challenges and tomorrow’s possibilities. My goal is for every child and family to feel seen, supported, and never alone as we walk that journey together.”
