Charise Padilla, M.S.

With over 6 years of experience, Charise has worked with children, teens, young adults, and their families in a variety of settings. A few of these settings include juvenile probation, residential placements, foster care and post-adoptions, and schools. Some issues she has addressed are sexual abuse, trauma, gender identity, conflict resolution, ADHD and anxiety.

Charise began her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and then transferred to Wright State university where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wright State University and her Master of Science in School Counseling from National-Louis University. Charise is passionate about working with young people and providing a safe place for them to share. She draws on a strength-based approach when working with clients and favors cognitive behavior therapy.

“I believe in meeting clients where they are and working together to determine the goals of therapy. I strive to make our time together comfortable and inviting. I enjoy using games, art, and play when working with children in hopes of having their therapy experience a positive experience. I hope to provide ‘more tools for their toolbox’ that can be used in the future to help with challenging issues.”

In my free-time, I enjoy spending time with my family and dog, being outdoors, attending my children’s sporting events, and finding peace and quiet from time to time.
