“I understand that it takes a great deal of courage to start therapy. As a therapist, it is important to me to listen with compassion, create a safe place, and join with clients as we address the needs presented. Allow me to walk you through this life changing experience in a comforting and hopeful environment. A strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of making progress in therapy. Growth and change can be difficult to navigate, but I will support you in a genuine, warm and caring way. I will invite you to be an active participant in helping me to understand you and your goals so that together we can work to spark growth and fulfillment.

Each person has had their own experiences that have molded them into the person they are. I use different therapeutic approaches suited to the person I am working with. My goal is to give you the tools to participate in your life in a way that brings you the most joy and fulfillment.”

In Melanie’s free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and teenage children. She likes to spend time in her garden, walking her dogs, doing yoga, kayaking, watching sports and listening to music
