It was her goal to professionally grow so she continued her education by obtaining her master's in human services and counseling from DePaul University. She began her new career as a guidance counselor in the middle school setting and she counseled both students and their families on a plethora of topics that affect youth and families today. Nora continued her education and obtained a second master's degree in leadership and administration at Benedictine University. Currently she is completing an internship at Waterford Counseling and Psychological Services to meet Licensure requirement for the state of Illinois.

“Both challenging life experiences and formal education have uniquely prepared me to provide counseling services to a broad range of clients and their families. I am very aware that it takes a lot of courage and strength to initiate counseling, and it is my top priority to meet each of my clients with warmth, positivity and acceptance.”

“I have 4 teenage children and 1 toddler. Two of my children are adopted, which has brought so much unconditional love and joy into my life. I enjoy spending time with my husband of 25 years, boating, walking, reading, going to church with my family and finding happiness and contentment in both the small and big moments in life.”
